当社は令和4年から全国茶品評会入札会で落札した、最高賞受賞茶葉を「THE JEWELS OF TEA」として毎年販売してまいりました。令和6年の入札会で落札した4部門の最高賞の茶葉は、今年4月より「令和六年THE JEWELS OF TEA」として販売中です。「THE JEWELS OF TEA」シリーズは、お茶単体としての魅力はもちろん、こだわりスイーツとのペアリングイベントにも利用され、素晴らしい日本茶体験を提供する商品として好評を博しています。
令和6年は関西茶品評会入札会にも参加し、煎茶の部の最高賞受賞茶を落札することができましたので、この貴重な茶葉を製品化し「令和六年THE JEWELS OF TEA」の第五弾として発売いたします。

■ 関西茶品評会

令和６年の「第76回関西茶品評会」は９月５日に西三河農業協同組合で開催され、当社は普通煎茶の部 一等一席（部門の一位）農林水産大臣賞受賞の茶葉を落札しました。

This exceptional sencha earned the coveted Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries Award-the highest honor in its category-at the prestigious 76th Kansai Tea Competition. The tea will be available for purchase on the company's online store starting July 7, 2024."



■ The Story Behind "THE JEWELS OF TEA Hoshun"
Tokyo Tea Trading launched its "THE JEWELS OF TEA" brand in 2022 to showcase the pinnacle of Japanese tea craftsmanship by acquiring and packaging grand-prize-winning teas from Japan's most revered competitions.
Building on the success of the series, the company expanded its focus in 2024. After releasing four winners from the National Tea Competition earlier this year, Tokyo Tea Trading participated in the esteemed Kansai Tea Competition for the first time. The company successfully acquired the top-prize-winning sencha, which will now be released as "Hoshun"-the fifth masterpiece in the 2024 "THE JEWELS OF TEA" collection.

The "THE JEWELS OF TEA" series presents Japan's finest competition-winning teas in elegant packaging inspired by a jeweler's case. The new "Hoshun" tea is named after a rare and exclusive cultivar born in Kyoto. The packaging design pays homage to this heritage, prominently featuring the beautiful kanji characters for 'Hoshun' (芳春), which evoke a sense of artistry and the freshness of spring. ■ About the Kansai Tea Competition
Similar to the National Tea Competition, this is known as a prestigious competition where the "Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award" is given to first place (top of the division) in eight divisions categorized by type of Japanese tea. It is held in rotation among the six prefectures (Aichi, Gifu, Mie, Shiga, Kyoto, and Nara) with active tea production that are members of the Kansai Tea Industry Council.
The "76th Kansai Tea Competition" of Reiwa 6 was held on September 5 at the Nishi-Mikawa Agricultural Cooperative, and our company successfully bid for the tea leaves that won first place and the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award in the regular sencha division.
